Chesterfield fans had the chance to meet their heroes yesterday.

The club held an Open Day that incorporated public training for the squad which host Hull City tomorrow night in their fourth pre-season game.

Tigers boss Steve Bruce is expected to select a strong side to represent the club, relegated from the Premier League last season.

Dean Saunders’ side have yet to concede a goal after a 3-0 win at Matlock, a 4-0 victory at Buxton and 2-0 triumph at SC Olhanense in Portugal on Friday.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is the only experienced summer signing, although youngsters Rai Simons and Jake Orrell will be hoping to make progress in the final three weeks of training ahead of the season proper starting at home to Barnsley on August 8.

Fans will be hoping that keeper Tommy Lee (groin) and Drew Talbot (hamstring) will be deemed fit enough to take part in the game.
