Chesterfield’s dressing room is full of players willing to battle for the club cause says Danny Wilson.
Ahead of today’s visit to Swindon for another game involving two clubs who could still be relegated, Wilson admitted other teams have highly skilled individuals, but his players have real mettle.
“If we can get a win it would be fantastic,”he said.
“I’m very realistic in what we have in that dressing room, we’ve got a team of battlers.
“We haven’t got the individuals some clubs have got.
“We have to find a way of getting points on board as best we possibly can with what we’ve got and I think the lads are doing a great job of that.”
In reference to one individual pulling up trees in League One, Wilson said Chesterfield would have to keep an eye on Nicky Ajose.
Addressing the striker with 23 goals to his name this season, Wilson said: “In a team that’s struggled a bit he’s been possibly one of their shining lights if you like.
“He’s someone you’ve got to be very respectful to.
“And alongside him they have Jonathan Obika who I know very well from having him on loan.
“Those two will make a very fine pair up front and we’ll have to be sharp to deal with them.
Swindon present a potent attacking threat, but also have the third worst defensive record in the league.
Wilson said: “ They do concede goals as well, they haven’t been the strongest in terms of keeping clean sheets, a little bit like us in that respect.”
