B2net set for ‘house full’ signs

The international showdown at the B2net Stadium is heading for a sell-out.

England U19s are set to face Germany at Whittington Moor on Tuesday, February 8, and yesterday – three days after the first tickets went on sale – more than 9,000 had been sold.

The new ground has a capacity of around 10,400 and Chesterfield FC chiefs believe the international clash could have a gate in excess of 10,000 and be the club’s biggest attendance of the season.

Blues media manager Geoff Mitchell said: “We’re getting a lot of block bookings and we are not far off from having a full house.’’

Tickets for the game, which has a 7.30pm kick off, are £3 for adults and £1 for concessions/juveniles.

Meanwhile, Chesterfield FC Fans must buy a ticket in advance for this Saturday’s away game at Shrewsbury Town.

No tickets will be on sale at Shrewsbury on matchday and supporters have been advised to travel into Shropshire only if they have a ticket for the game. True Blue Travel are taking bookings for a second coach. Transport is set to depart the B2net at 10.45am and the Town Hall at 11am, cost £12, ring the Club Shop on (01246) 209765.

Fans can save up to £3 by buying a ticket in advance for the away game at Gillingham on Tuesday.
