Chesterfield FC, in partnership with North Derbyshire Running Club and Jog Derbyshire, is encouraging people to take part in a 5k run, jog, or walk to the B2net Stadium on Sunday, July 10.
The event, aimed at all abilities, starts at 10am from Sheepbridge Industrial Estate and, via a 5k circuitous route the run finishes by the Karen Child South Stand adjacent to the Plaza.
There is also a children’s one-mile fun run around the perimeter of the B2net Stadium starting at 11.30am.
Entry forms are now available on the Spireites official website www.chesterfield-fc.co.uk or while entrants can also book on the day from 10.30am for the children’s fun run.
There is a commemorative race t-shirt for everyone who enters before the closing date on Friday, July 1.
All children who finish the fun run will get a medal and the fun run winner will be presented with a winner’s trophy.
Kay Adkins of the CFC Community Trust said: “Our aim is to extend the reach of this healthy event beyond the running fraternity because this is all about encouraging people in the local community to take part by doing it their way, either by running, jogging or just walking.”
Entry fees: affiliated club runners and Jog Derbyshire runners £8 (£10 on the day), Unattached runners £10 (£12 on the day), Children’s fun run £1.
Refreshments will be available from the concourse in the HTM Main Stand at the B2net Stadium until 1pm.
