Chesterfield are in action against another side at the wrong end of the table, 21st placed Bury.

The manager says supporters have given the side the backing they need since he arrived a month ago.

And tomorrow he’s asking for 90 minutes of noise – even if things don’t go exactly to plan.

He cites Tuesday night’s last-gasp leveller as the example of the reward supporters get for their backing.

“They’ve been fantastic since I came to the club, the way they’ve got behind the team,” he said.

“We need them in big numbers and big voice from the start of the game right to the very end of the game, no matters what happens.

“I’ve said all along there will be highs and lows within the season but even within 90 minutes as Tuesday shows, you have to stick with your team, keep getting behind them.

“In the end, scenes like Tuesday night are what you get involved in football for, you want to have that feeling of a team coming together and getting big points that will go a long way to our survival.”
