Martin McIntosh insists Buxton are desperate to stop the rot when they resume league action on Saturday.

The Bucks’ manager will be looking for his side to end a four-game losing streak when Stamford visit the Silverlands.

He said: “We never played like I know we can do against King’s Lynn, especially in the first half.

“There was a five-minute spell when they scored two goals that just killed us off.

“We have to respond now and it’s time for us to get a result so that we can end this run.”

McIntosh confirmed that Spencer Harris is likely to be out of action for “up to two weeks” after the defender sustained an ankle injury at Ashton United recently.

Harris, who has been deployed as both a centre-half and central midfielder, was replaced by player-assistant Tim Ryan for the defeat at King’s Lynn.
