Chesterfield FC has confirmed that Swindon Town striker Leon Clarke is joining the Spireites on three months emergency loan following agreement between the two clubs.
The final paperwork is expected to be completed, and approval given by the football authorities, ahead of tomorrow’s (Saturday) south coast clash with Bournemouth.
The 26-year-old was previously at Wolves, Sheffield Wednesday and QPR and has had loan spells at several other clubs, including Oldham Athletic when John Sheridan was the manager.
He is expected to go straight into the squad for the Cherries match.
His squad number will be No 31.
