Will Evans first picked up the injury on Saturday against Barnet but it seemed to clear up for the trip to Hartlepool on Monday, before resurfacing early on in the game.

Allen said: “He had a knock on his hip on Saturday but trained fine, had no problems in training or in the warm up but got another knock on it.

“We’ll find out tomorrow morning.”

The manager is keen to receive good news, given how important he believes the centre-half to be for his side.

“He’s been very strong, he’s a good centre-back for us.

“He’s under the radar, we get a seven or eight out of 10 from him every game.

“He’s very good at set-plays, we need Will playing in our team.”

Meanwhile the manager has revealed that another National League club are interested in one of the players told he is free to leave the Proact.
