Flint returns on loan to Reds

ALFRETON Town have bolstered their ambitions of staying in the Blue Square Bet North title race by signing former central defender and captain Aden Flint from Swindon Town on loan to the end of the season.

Flint (21) left the Impact Arena on January 21 to sign for then Swindon Town manager Danny Wilson for a £150,000 fee.

Aden has since figured twice in the Robins’ first team in npower League One and also with their reserves, but with the Wiltshire club fighting relegation, Wilson was unfortunately relieved from his post.

New Swindon manager Paul Hart has been impressed with Flint’s attitude and his efforts in training, but the former Chesterfield, Nottingham Forest and Portsmouth boss has opted to go with experience to the end of the campaign which has freed Aden up to return to Derbyshire.

Flint has been cleared to play in Alfreton Town’s league game at seventh-placed Guiseley on Tuesday night.

He joined the club from neighbouring Central Midlands Football League Supreme Divsion side Pinxton on August 7, 2008.
