The sun shone as riders and horses warmed up in the outdoor arena in readiness for riding their selected tests in front of judges, Heidi Brocklehurst and Alison Woolley.

Riders were able to compete not just for Sunday’s competition but also the chance to qualify for Senior Showing and Dressage (SSD) and Beaver Hall Spring Championships.

As normal the standards were high, seeing some scores in excess of 70%.

Classes were split between juniors and seniors which in turn gave everyone a fair chance against riders of their own age group with a special section for the club’s under-10s competitors.

A full list of the results can be found on the new CADRC website (cadrc.org.uk) along with details of future events being held by the club.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday April 8 there is an equestrian-themed table sale being held at the Bowling Club in Whaley Bridge.

There will also be a Dressage training clinic on Saturday April 12 in preparation for the next competition, on May 3.
