Feelin’ Glad All Over after winning first point

However, the home team asserted in added time to go on and record a 5-1 victory margin; Ben Cummings notched a hat-trick.

Holders HEANOR STAFF made an early exit. Despite goals from Andy Merrin and Arun Oakley they went down 2-3 to HILCOTE MW.

The Solar Press Cup saw CRIB brushed aside in a one-sided game that WESTWOOD ROYAL OAK dominated; the visitors being sharper than their illustrious opponents in every department and going on to hand them out a 7-2 beating.

Kev Morrow walked the ball in to give his side an early lead that Jay Harrison doubled almost immediately, after cashing in on a defensive blunder.

Morrow’s pace was decisive as he rammed home number three, and two headers from Sam Smith and Guy Wilson gave the home team a 5-0 cushion at the interval.

Codnor had come closest to scoring through the lively Matt Guilor who drove one effort over the bar before rattling an upright.

Matt Roberts poked in from close range to extend the lead on the resumption before Morrow headed home to complete his hat-trick.

A Matt Guilor volley and a side-footed effort into the corner gave his side some respectability before substitute Andrit Kupranec fired home to complete the scoring.

Despite dominating possession, RAINBOW INTERNATIONAL were undone when CORONATION CLUB took the only opportunity that they were presented with to land the spoils by 1-0.

The cup match featuring RAILWAY TAVERN and RAILWAY (Alfreton) was decided on penalties after the game finished 3-3. Chris Jackson (2) and substitute Dave Bishop got the home team’s goals while Kieran Debrouwer, Brett Julian and Jay Cooper responded for the visitors who went on to win the shoot-out.
