Entries open for Peak Forest fell race

The annual Peak Forest Fell Race will be held again this year, on Sunday July 13.

The race starts at 11.15am on Church Lane, in front of the former village shop.

Registration for the race takes place in the Reading Room, which is located at the road junction with traffic lights on the A623.

The fell race is 9.7km in distance, with a climb of 198m.

The entrance fee is £5 and entrants must be aged over 18 to enter.

Subject to weather conditions, parking is on the village recreation ground, which is on the south side of the A623 approximately 250 metres east of the traffic lights.

The funds raised through the event are in aid of the Reading Room, which is a registered charity and the local community centre.
