Chesterfield boxer Jade Ashmore is getting ready for a busy few months of jet-setting and competing around Europe.
She has earned a call-up to the England team for the Women’s Youth European Championships in August.
Ashmore was put through her paces during a selection training camp earlier this month.
The Chesterfield puncher impressed enough to earn her place for the Championships which take place in Hungary from August 15-23.
She received a phone call last week from England youth coach Amanda Coulson confirming her place in the squad.
Jade will now ramp up her training by heading to the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield for a preparation camp from August 10-14, before flying out with the rest of the squad 24 hours later.
Meanwhile, Jade has also been selected by Derbyshire to compete in the Golden Girls Box Cup.
The event will be staged in Borås, Sweden and takes place from November 20-22.
