Cycling: Busy but successful weekend for Lee
This Peak District event has for many years been popular with both fans and riders, often boasting top-level professional cyclists on its start list.
Sunny and cool conditions ensured that this short but excruciating race was again a success.

Hide AdThe fastest three finishers were all professionals who have featured in televised road races over the summer months.
In first was Jack Pullar (Madison Genesis) with a time of 1:19.9.
Graham Briggs (Rapha Condor JLT) was second with 1:21.4 and in third was ex-Team Sky veteran Russell Downing (Team Net App Endura) with a time of 1:22.5.
The Buxton CC challenge was led by Lee Baldwin who took an excellent seventh place in 1:27.0, Sam Mansfield was 38th in 1:44.5 and Sam Garner was 62nd in 1:49.7.

Hide Ad• Elsewhere, Rossendale Road Club held their annual hill-climb on the Crown Point hill out of Burnley.
Sam Mansfield made a fine effort to finish sixth in a time of 3:05.9 and also won the prize for fastest junior. The overall winner, Aidan Holgate (North Lancashire RC), finished in 2:43.2.
The weekend also saw Lee Baldwin competing in the Otley CC hill-climb in Yorkshire.
The prolific Tejvan Pettinger (Sri Chimnoy Racing Team) won both stages but Baldwin pushed him close, finishing in a respectable second place.
