Curtis sets new personal best


Despite an excellent performance by the male athletes of Chesterfield AC, who had the highest points score, a major shortage of female athletes pushed the whole team back into fifth place at the second Northern League match at Grimsby.

Final result: Rotherham 360, Newark 342, Barnsley 337, Cleethorpes 318, Chesterfield 277, Boston 237.

Three Chesterfield athletes were selected to represent the East Midlands in an U23 triangular match against Loughborough Students and Birmingham University at the Loughborough track.
