Curtis is new first team boss

Curtis Woodhouse has been appointed the new first-team manager of Dronfield-based Sheffield FC.

Curtis, a professional boxer and former professional footballer who counts Sheffield United, Birmingham City and Hull City among his former clubs, has previously played for Sheffield FC.

Curtis, pictured, played towards the end of the 2009/10 season, which culminated with the side reaching the play-offs and winning the Senior Cup, and the beginning of the following campaign, making his debut as a substitute against Leek Town in March 2010.

His first start came in the famous 5-4 win away to Stocksbridge PS in the Senior Cup run where he scored one of the goals, going on to make a total of 14 appearances.
