Official line-ups for tonight’s Chesterfield Turns Pink charity t20 cricket match

This evening’s Chesterfield Turns Pink Charity Twenty20 (6pm start) includes two of the form current players in the country as well as a host of Derbyshire and international legends.

Warwickshire’s Darren Maddy and Derbyshire’s Albie Morkel each turned in explosive performances at the weekend.

Maddy’s scintillating 84 off 42 balls versus Worcestershire on Friday night was followed by Morkel’s 30 ball half-century and four-wicket haul against Yorkshire on Sunday.

Both will represent the Old Speckled Hen Cricket Derbyshire XI against Glenn McGrath’s Buy Mobiles.net XI for the match at Queen’s Park, for which entry is available on the gate priced at £20 Adults, £15 Derbyshire Members, £5 Juniors and £5 Car Parking.

The game will be a rare opportunity for Derbyshire members and supporters to see the likes of Kim Barnett, Adrian Rollins, Devon Malcolm, Stephen Stubbings and Kevin Dean represent the county once again.

Standout names for McGrath’s men include McGrath himself, former Australia internationals Ian Harvey and Damien Martyn, Derbyshire legend Chris Adams and former Yorkshire and England fast bowler Darren Gough.

Players and supporters will don pink themed clothing to increase breast cancer awareness in young women, to support the UK Breast Cancer Care charity and to boost the McGrath Foundation’s excellent work in Australia.

A percentage of revenue will also go to the Cricket Derbyshire Community Foundation; a new charity established to deliver cricket based sport, education and health projects to benefit the people of Derbyshire.

Sarah Taylor and Shivnarine Chanderpaul have been forced to withdraw through injury. Jason Gillespie will miss the event on compassionate grounds.

Hours of play: 6pm to 8.45pm.

Adult tickets on the day are £20 or £15 for a card holding member of Derbyshire County Cricket Club; £5 for juniors and children under 5 are free. Car Parking: £5.

Those that attend the match this evening will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle draw to win a brand new pink Suzuki Alto courtesy of Autoworld Suzuki.
