Maiden first-class century for Gloucestershire’s Taylor before Derbyshire bowl them out

Jack Taylor celebrated his maiden first-class century as Gloucestershire collected a third batting point on the second morning of the LV County Championship Division Two game against Derbyshire at Derby.

Taylor passed his previous highest score of 63 against Glamorgan in 2013 and hit Tillakaratne Dilshan for six before completing his hundred off 122 balls.

But Michael Klinger did not add to his overnight 93 and was out to the sixth ball of the day, caught behind off England fast bowling prospect Mark Footitt who finished with 4 for 60.

Taylor was eventually out for 120 to his namesake Tom who took 4 for 89 as Gloucestershire were bowled out for 329 and at lunch Derbyshire were 6 for 0 in reply.
