Healthy finances are a '˜step in the right direction' for Derbyshire CCC

Derbyshire County Cricket Club has recorded a cash surplus for a fifth consecutive year.

The club recorded a surplus of £15,588 for the financial year ending December 2015.

The Club recorded a record turnover for the 2015 financial year, driven by significant increases in Commercial, Match and Conference & Events sales.

Membership and Ticket sales was up by 20% on 2014, while Commercial income grew by nearly 30% to pass the half million pound mark for the first time.

Chief Executive, Simon Storey said: “Achieving a fifth successive year of surplus is another step in the right direction.

“It is important that we now build on this performance to enable us to increase investment in the playing budget still further.
