Glossop CC were victorious in the final of the 2013 Walkden Cup last weekend, prospering by a six-wicket winning margin.

Tim Rogers, who was later named the man of the match, had a profitable spell with ball in hand, taking four wickets.

After bowling out their opponents Glossop set about chasing their modest target in quick time.

They managed to reach a total of 86 for the loss of just four wickets, and with a huge 35 overs to spare.

In a unique twist of fate, this weekend sees the two sides lock horns again, this time in league action.

Last weekend prior to the cup victory, Glossop ran in 295-8 at Thornham before restricting their hosts to 109 all out.
