Derbyshire skipper relishing ‘cup finals’
Derbyshire captain Wayne Madsen says the remaining home matches against Durham and Warwickshire at the County Ground are Derbyshire’s ‘cup finals’.
Victory over Somerset on Friday moved Madsen’s men out of the LV= County Championship bottom two ahead of their penultimate four-day fixture against Durham (which started Wednesday morning).

Hide AdMadsen said: “We have a real shout of staying up. These final two games will be our cup finals. We know two good performances could keep us in this division.
“Hopefully the crowd can now get behind the lads.”
Derbyshire were 95-1 at lunch on the opening day.
