Club catches cash

Alfreton’s Town Mayor John Walker donated a cheque for £950 to the Chairman of The Nottinghamshire and Derby Border Youth League chairman Brian Cox.

The money was presented on behalf of Alfreton Town Council after Alfreton Cricket Club and Morton Cricket Club had played a match at Alfreton Park.

Alfreton Town Council is keen to receive grant applications from voluntary organisations serving the town. Application forms can be obtained by visiting or contacting the council on High Street on (01773) 520032.
