This is the second full season that Kumar has been Chesterfield’s overseas player. He has been combining playing cricket for Chesterfield and studying on a Sports Science with Management course at Loughborough University.

The 22-year-old was born in Ontario, Canada, and made his One Day International debut for Canada in 2010, becoming the second-youngest player in the history of ODIs.

A right-handed batsman and right-arm off spin bowler, he played his first Twenty20 International in March 2012.
