Buxton Squash Club has concluded a successful debut season in the North West Counties Squash League.

The newcomers joined the league in Division 5 South, being pitted against teams from areas of Macclesfield, Prestbury, Alderley Edge, Holmes Chapel and Crewe.

Buxton finished third in their division, with all of their defeats coming in the first half of the season.

Their top-three place was secured on the final day of the season, inflicting on runaway champions Alderley Edge 4 their only defeat of the season.

Buxton Squash Club will now be looking to arrange some local friendlies throughout the summer, ahead of the start of the new season in September, when they will be looking to enter a second team.
The club is also looking to introduce a junior coaching programme.

Club nights are held on Monday evenings from 5.40pm to 7pm at Fairfield Community Centre. Matches take place on Thursday evenings.
