Special night with boxing legend Frank Bruno

Boxing fans in the Chesterfield area have been invited to a special event featuring the legendary Frank Bruno, who is headlining a sportsman's evening later this month.

A former WBC world heavyweight champion, Bruno is one of Britain’s best-loved sporting icons. Now 55, he will be at The Civic Quarter on Chesterfield Road South, Mansfield for ‘An Audience With Frank Bruno’ on Friday, June 16 (8 pm to 10.30 pm).

A night of entertainment will include photo opportunities with Bruno, games, a magician, an auction and the man himself live on stage for a question-and-answer session with radio host Tony Delahunty.

In his professional career, Bruno won 40 of his 45 bouts, including 38 by knockout, and lifted his world title by defeating Oliver McCall at a packed Wembley Stadium in 1995. Since retiring, he has become a famous celebrity.

Tickets for the event, the dress for which is smart casual, cost £20, with VIP tickets, which include the chance to meet and greet Bruno, available for £50. A limited number of boxing gloves, signed by Bruno on the night, will also be up for grabs at a price of £80.
