Buxton boxers win plaudits

Buxton ABC travelled to Derby prior to the commencement of the new boxing season to collect a host of awards from the previous 2012 - 13 campaign.

Area champions collecting awards were Adam Sircar and Liam Burke.

In addition, Giann Magno and Jon Pickering were recognised for their quarter and semi-final national campaigns, respectively. Special awards from Derbyshire ABA were awarded to Josh Chapman as ‘Most Sporting Boxer’, Josh Taylor for ‘Best First Season Boxer’, Giann Magno for ‘Most Promising Boxer’ and Jon Pickering was given a special award for 50 bouts.

Buxton A.B.C is open to all, from keep-fitters to those looking to compete.

The gym is open four nights a week for males and females (ages ten-plus) for just £10 per month.
