Billy nets nine goals

It was wins all the way for AFC Dronfield, the youth teams claiming the points, and some fine victories to boot.

AFC Dronfield U8s went goal-crazy this week as top-scorer Billy Waterfall led the way with an astonishing nine-goal show away to Aston Swallownest.

There were hat-tricks for Matthew Freeland, Jack Godber, Ross Dawson and Freddie Parlby, while Joe Sambrook, James Thorpe and Daniel Bateman also hit the net in a young guns goalfest to be celebrated.

AFC U10s remain unbeaten in October, securing another three points at home to Killamarsh Dynamo’s this weekend.

In a close fought game it wasn’t until the final minutes of the first half that AFC’s Nathan Bower broke the deadlock with a goal in the home sides favour.

In a tit-for-tat second half, Jack Parish and Adam Morewood added to the AFC score line only to be pegged back in turns by Killamarsh, taking a final goal from Jack Parish, to close the deal. Man of the match went jointly to Tim Clarke and Callum Holland.

Final Score: AFC Dronfield 4 - Killamarsh Dynamos 2.
