Barlow decider gives hope to Brampton

Brampton 2, Totley 1

Brampton gained crucial points in this bottom end of the table clash.

The match was one of few played in the league and the conditions were difficult on a hard and bobbly surface.

The first half began very scrappy and was contested much in the middle of the park.

Totley never really troubled the Brampton goal for the first half and Brampton were limited to half chances.

Both teams turned round 0-0 at half-time but ten minutes into the second-half Iain Branson was felled in the area as he turned for goal and captain Chris Graham scored his first goal for the club in two seasons as he dispatched the penalty.

Totley responded straight away and equalised through slack marking from a corner.

But with 15 minutes remaining, neat work from Dickens and Branson fed Andy Barlow for him to poke home from close range.

On Saturday Brampton host Dronfield Woodhouse at Brookfield School. 2pm Kick off.
