COULD I just say a big thank you to three lovely people who helped me get back home at Valley Road, Spital, at the beginning of May. If it wasn’t for them I can’t imagine what would have happened.
I ended up in the Chesterfield Royal hospital for four weeks, but now I’m on the road to recovery.
May I thank everyone who donated money to St John Ambulance collectors at Morrison’s supermarkets last week.
A total of £1,311.74 was collected at the Brampton, Chesterfield, store, and £901.01 at Staveley, a very generous and much-appreciated sum. The money will be used to support the local work of St John Ambulance.
Our volunteers are a familiar sight at public events such as football matches and galas around the county.
We also run first aid courses that can enable ordinary people to be the difference between a life lost and a life saved. However, this local framework of first aid support now has to rely entirely on local donations to keep it going, so this money is crucial to our work.
Anyone who missed the supermarket collections can donate £3 to help save more lives in our community by texting: DONATE DERBYS to 70007.

WE would like to thank all local businesses and residents who so generously donated Easter eggs for our Annual Easter Egg Appeal.
This year was unbelievable, over 214 yummy chocolate eggs donated.
We are sure that all the recipients had a cracking good Easter because of your wonderful generosity.
Thank you all again so much.
