I am the owner of Galaxy Travel and I believe last week’s story ‘Prison for taxi driver’ portrays a negative insight to the running of our business.
I would like to point out that it is not the responsibility of the taxi operator to give individuals a licence to drive a taxi. Once a driver arrives with the relevant taxi badge licence, we trust that they are fit to drive.
We are just a small company which specialises in airport runs and executive travel, and our drivers are our best asset.
I just want to make it clear to Derbyshire people that we are not a Taxi firm that employs lawbreakers as drivers. We are all professionals and we deliver a first class service to all of our customers.
Our commitment to excellence is borne out by the fact we have been nominated to win a Derbyshire Times Business Award for 2012.
I hope you can see that this means so much to not only myself but my mother Christine, my father Stephen and all of the drivers which have helped build this business over the years.
