The latest round of redundancies at Chesterfield College is disgraceful in the light of the top heavy management structure and the money being spent on revamping current areas.
There have been other redundancies over the last three years, adding 80 to the staff already lost is shocking.
What is more important, having staff to teach and support the students or having a fancy reception area?
Now FE colleges are no longer under county council control who keeps an eye on their spending/budget?
Who are they accountable to?
The college appears to be in a sad state with very low morale among the staff.
