Market hall handling

I THINK the situation that has arisen at Chesterfield Market Hall could be handled better by Chesterfield Borough Council, but it is still not too late for it to honour it’s promise to make the food stalls a priority.

The meat and fish stall, the meat stall and the cafe, need running water and electricity to run the fridges and freezers in order to keep their food fresh.

They also need accommodation at a comparable rent to the Market Hall stall, as it is Chesterfield Borough Council that is responsible for moving them.

So to Chesterfield Borough Council I say, ‘Come on, you are better than this!’
