I wish to pay tribute to the wonderful service provided by the staff of Chesterfield Library to the reading group.
This group is comprised of the elderly, infirm, frail and or disabled who are collected from their homes around monthly and taken by bus to the library.
Whilst there at the library, these grateful citizens are assisted and supported, given tea and cakes and guided to find useful and interesting resources and reading materials for their assorted and diverse needs.
This service is a very important highlight in their lives and much appreciated by the entire reading group, members of which enjoy spending time with each other, the library staff and other patrons.
Special thanks are sent to Sandra and all the volunteer staff.
Mrs J. Booth
