It’s the pupils who will suffer

Strike action is not a move that any teacher takes lightly.

I realise that I am not the only one facing a threat to my pension.

The Government’s proposals will make teaching a less attractive profession and ultimately it will be the pupils who suffer.

The teachers’ scheme is sustainable according to the National Audit Commission.

I urge your readers to demonstrate their support for the teachers who are, reluctantly, taking action on June 30.
