Hear hear!

I agree with the remarks made by John Robinson, (‘Vandals should be made to toil’, Times talk, August 4). My grandfather worked as a miner all his adult life, until his retirement in 1962; having been employed at the Morton and Pilsley pits, in Derbyshire. This is after he survived the horror of the ‘First World War’, in France, between 1914 and 1918. I think he might well have supported your opinions, were he alive today!
