Great concert but a shame about the beer

Following all the moaning letters that seem to get printed every week (I have been parking on pavements for weeks in the hope of getting my car in the paper) I thought I would put pen to paper to praise the recent Mychoone festival, near Tansley.

My friends and I had the pleasure of attending over the bank holiday weekend.

As well as known bands and tribute acts, local bands were given the chance to perform on what must have been a really exciting stage for them to show their talents.

We all thought it was really well organised from the campsite, (bit chilly at night), to the security, surprisingly helpful! So congratulations to all concerned, my only moan (I realise I’ve got no chance of getting this published without one!) was the beer.

Surely it’s not beyond the organisers’ abilities, bearing in mind all the fantastic real ale breweries we have within ten miles of the site, to be able to put on, and therefore promote, proper beers instead of the awful canned chemicals we had to consume.

Other than that a great weekend, see you there next year.
