I WAS devastated that despite purchasing a relevant ticket to park my car in the Holywell Cross Car Park on Thursday, June 9, and displaying my blue disabled driver badge, I returned to find a PCN stuck to my windscreen - claiming I had not clearly displayed these items.
The only explanation I can think of is that because the parking tickets issued no longer have a sticky side to secure them to the windscreen the ticket may have blown over. But on my return both ticket and blue badge were still visible.
I appealed and it was rejected.
I now have to pay a £25 fine, even though I do not consider myself guilty of this offence.
Please can I ask that the Borough Council return to ‘old style’ tickets with a sticky side to secure them to the windscreen. This would prevent anyone else from having to endure a similar event.
