Application on the way: Reminder to Clay Cross

This is a reminder to the communities surrounding the proposed Hilltop Opencasting Development, alongside the A61 between Clay Cross and Tupton, that Provectus have not gone away.

Indeed, the Planning Application can be submitted to Derbyshire County Council at any time now.

According to their January 2013 Newsletter, which can be found on their website, they have been in touch with Derbyshire County Council to present their proposals in advance of the actual planning application, as they want to engage with both DCC and the community.

However, what concerns me, and others, is that Provectus seem to be under the misapprehension that there is only one community that will be affected by this proposal. That is Holmgate.

As far as I am aware the only community group they have been in contact with is the Holmgate Tenants’ and Residents’ Association.

However, if they have been in contact with any other community group, it would be interesting to hear from them.

I would also like to reassure all those opposed to this planned development that the Hilltop Action Group is still around and ready for action.

Please keep looking at our website if you can. We will also be contacting you by flyer when we know the planning application has finally been submitted.
