A KIND-HEARTED girl was so impressed with her grandmother’s charity raffle ticket drive she set up her own appeal for Chesterfield’s Ashgate Hospice.
Freya Scattergood, 6, of Barlborough, did her own raffle tickets sales, held an art exhibition and a guess-the-total competition with a big bag full of loose change.
Her grandmother Sue Scattergood, of Newbold, Chesterfield, said: “Freya found my raffle tickets and wanted to do her own charity appeal so she sold her own raffle tickets among family and friends and sold her own artwork and organised a competition for people to pay money to guess how much change was being kept in a bag.”
The youngster raised £50 and donated the money to the hospice, on Ashgate Road, Chesterfield. Anyone interested in helping the hospice can visit www.ashgatehospice.org or call (01246) 568801 for details.
