IF you’re holding a coffee morning or thinking about holding one, why not go to Macmillan’s own Coffee Morning and find out more about Macmillan, collect some extra merchandise, get some hints and tips and meet the mayor.
The event is taking place at the Town Hall, Chesterfield on Monday 12 September from 10am to 12pm.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is 21 this year and Macmillan is hoping to raise over £8 million from the event nationally which takes place on Friday 30 September. Fundraising manager for Chesterfield, Rob Turner said, “Whether you’re holding your first Coffee morning or take part each year come along with your friends and colleagues and meet other hosts, exchange ideas, get resources and inspiration so you can make your coffee morning the biggest ever.”
Rob continues, “At the event you can also pick up brand new materials Macmillan have got to offer this year – which will help you to raise even more money for people living with cancer!”

People in Derbyshire already benefit from 58 Macmillan professionals these include highly experienced nurses in areas like head and neck and palliative care, as well as other services that include Macmillan Support Workers and Macmillan Life Care Education Facilitator in Chesterfield. All of these professionals are there to help people manage their symptoms and to ensure people get the best possible treatment and support possible, in Chesterfield our services are based across the town including at Ashgate Hospice and Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
