Significant work has begun in Shirebrook and Scarcliffe developing a multi-user trial.

The work aims to redevelop part of the Archeological Way, which links the communities it passes to services, and provides a safe route for families.

A three metre wide multi-user trial is set to be built that will link the Langwith branch line to Poulter Country Park.

A bridge is also set to be installed over the A632 at Langwith.

The project, which is costing a total of £691,000 from the Local Transport Plan, Heritage Lottery Fund and the European Regional Development Fund, should be complete by December 2014.
