Woman threatens to jump off Chesterfield bridge
Police came to the rescue of a woman who was threatening to jump from a Chesterfield bridge.
Officers were called to the bridge above the A61 bypass near Horns Bridge roundabout at about 11.30am on Monday.
Traffic was stopped for several minutes as police spoke to the woman and led her to safety.
A Derbyshire police spokesman said: “The woman has been taken to hospital.
“The incident was dealt with quite quickly.
“Thankfully the woman is safe.”
