Witness appeal after cyclist is knocked off bike in Derbyshire

Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was knocked off his bicycle while riding in the Hope Valley.

The cyclist was riding near Calver crossroads at about 10.15am on Sunday, August 23 when the collision happened.

He was not badly injured but was left shaken.

The vehicle involved was thought to be a black, five-door Volkswagen Polo, which did not stop at the scene. It was driven off in the direction of Sheffield.

Officers investigating the collision want to hear from witnesses or anyone who may know the whereabouts of a VW Polo with some damage to one of its wings.

Anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting incident 327 of August 23.
