Residents in Wirksworth and Middleton will be seeing a new officer on the beat as PC Dan Mitchell joins the Safer Neighbourhood team.
PC Dan Mitchell has recently taken on the role of Safer Neighbourhood Officer and will be patrolling the beat areas alongside PCSO Sue Lester.
Dan joined Derbyshire Constabulary in 2005 as a police community support officer in Long Eaton, before taking on the role as a reactive officer in Matlock and Ashbourne.
He has experience in both responsive and community officer roles and has worked on high profile operations such as the G8 and NATO summits.
He said: “I will be out and about in the community over the coming months to meet as many people as possible and introduce myself to them as their new police officer.
“I look forward to speaking with local residents to discuss any issues that they may have and the ways in which we, as the police, can tackle them and make improvements to the area.”
