Alan Charles will be attending the area’s next meeting, which will be held at Wirksworth Town Hall on Wednesday, April 3.

Neighbourhood forums give members of the public a chance to speak directly to their local policing team about issues on their streets.

Officers also ask for input on the issues residents feel need to be targeted and can set policing priorities based on that feedback.

Wirksworth and Middleton Safer Neighbourhood Team, made up of PC Doug Eyre, PCSO Sue Lester and Sergeant Nick Reason, will be at the meeting along with Mr Charles, who will be talking about his role.

PCSO Lester said: “The meetings are a fantastic opportunity for people to come forward and talk to us about issues that are affecting them directly.

“Anyone living in Wirskworth, Middleton and the surrounding area is more than welcome and it’d be great to see as many people there as possible.”

The meeting is due to start at 5.30pm.
