Whaley Bridge runner raises £700 for hospice

A Whaley Bridge man has raised almost £700 for the Blythe House Hospice by running the Edinburgh Marathon.

Dan Christie exceeded his £500 target, raising £668 in sponsorship for the Chapel-en-le-Frith hospice.

The 22-year-old completed the 26-mile race with his dad, Jason, 44.

He said: “Blythe House is a great local charity that has helped and continues to help many people.”
