Wembley coach operators should contact police


COACH and minibus operators taking Spireites fans to Wembley next month are being asked to inform Derbyshire police to help prevent parking problems on the day.

The Metropolitan Police has asked for the names and contact details of all coach operators taking fans to the capital for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final on Sunday, March 25.

The also want to know the number of coaches each operator is taking to give them a clear picture of the amount of coaches travelling to the stadium and to help them plan alternative parking arrangements if necessary.

Under Traffic Commissioner Guidelines, coach and minibus firms have to notify police if they are planning to take parties of fans to football matches.

Any coach or minibus operator travelling to Wembley for the game is asked to call Derbyshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident number 199 of 23/2/12.
