WEATHER WARNING: Met Office warns snow and ice will hit Chesterfield this week

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning of snow and ice for Chesterfield this week.

The warning, issued on Tuesday, lasts from 8am on Wednesday until 9pm on Thursday.

Possible travel delays, delays or cancellations to rail and air travel and power cuts have all been warned of by the Met Office.

It will be a particularly cold two days in Chesterfield with temperatures reaching a maximum of three degrees on Wednesday and four degrees on Thursday.

Sleet is forecast on Wednesday evening and Thursday.
