Flood warnings are in place for the Chesterfield area, with nearly 40 alerts across Derbyshire

People in parts of Derbyshire are being advised to take action as a total of 38 warnings have been issued for the county after Storm Dennis caused widespread damage on Saturday (February 15) and into Sunday.

Today it will become increasingly cloudy through the morning, with occasional showers. Cloud will break to sunny spells by the afternoon, although further isolated blustery and heavy showers are then possible. These mainly in the west, with a chance of hail or isolated thunder. It will stay windy overnight, although daytime showers generally easing for most. Clear spells developing, and feeling rather cold. Further showers likely across the Peak District. Chance of frost in sheltered spots. Minimum temperature 1°C.
