Rescuers were called to a rural location to help an injured walker.
Buxton and Edale Mountain Rescue Teams were called to Curbar Edge on Wednesday, April 24, afternoon to assist the East Midlands Ambulance Service.
A 50–year–old male, walking the Curbar Edge path, had tripped and sustained injuries to his knee, aggravating a previous knee injury.
This prevented him from continuing his walk.
He was treated on site by the ambulance service and Edale team paramedics, packaged and evacuated by team members on a stretcher to a land ambulance parked at Curbar Gap Car Park, which then transferred him to hospital for treatment.
The rescue teams left he scene by 1pm.
